Tax Policy
Jack McHale has been a determined advocate for lowering the tax
burden on Chesterfield residents and businesses. Jack championed the
first Real Estate Tax rate reduction in over 15 years.
- 1998 – Lowered the Real Estate Tax rate from $1.09 to $1.08
- 2002 – Lowered the Real Estate Tax rate from $1.08 to $1.07
- Expanded Real Estate Tax Relief for the Elderly and Handicapped
- Capped BPOL TAX Revenues at the FY99 level saving County

Jack McHale took the lead on establishing Chesterfield's
nationally acclaimed Total Quality Initiative.
